Tabloid truth or fiction: Brangelina marriage on the rocks?

Angelina Jolie recently caught Brad Pitt with Jennifer Aniston, reveals In Touch. After hearing her husband on the phone with his ex-wife, Jolie confronted Pitt, who explained, according to the publication’s source, "It had been two months since Jen's mom, Nancy, died and he wanted to see how she was doing."

The magazine's insider says Jolie "accused Brad of sneaking behind her back with Jen and yelled that he'd ruined all their new plans for the future." The outlet's source further notes Jolie views Aniston as her "ultimate rival," and now her already "fragile marriage" with Pitt has "blown up and it's all over Jen." "That phone call was a betrayal as far as Angelina's concerned," adds In Touch's informant.

But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Pitt and Jolie, who exclusively assures us there's "no truth" to the tabloid's account of events. There have been no secret phone calls between Pitt and Aniston, nor is his and Jolie's marriage in trouble.

This is all simply made up. Of course, Gossip Cop is not surprised by the falsity of this latest story. In the past, Gossip Cop has corrected the magazine for wrongly reporting both Pitt and Aniston were divorcing their current spouses. This latest claim is similarly inaccurate.

© Gossip Cop Prince William and Kate Middleton are going to soon be announced as the next King and Queen of England, since "Prince Charles has decided to step aside," reveals OK!.

A royal insider tells the magazine, "When the Queen passes the baton, it will be to William and his wife Duchess Kate" because of the public's dislike for Prince Charles. The outlet's source explains Prince Charles is "willing to sacrifice his own turn on the throne," if letting "William and Kate become the next king and queen is what it takes to cement the future of the monarchy."

But it's all royally wrong. And it's the third time in less than a year that OK! has falsely claimed Prince William and Middleton's coronation was imminent. Gossip Cop previously corrected the tabloid last September and again in January. The Palace says it’s untrue, and exclusively tells Gossip Cop, "No such announcement has been made."

© Gossip Cop Jennifer Lopez is pregnant at 47, and ready to announce her "baby joy," according to Life & Style. The publication writes, "Eight years after welcoming twins, Jennifer Lopez is overjoyed to be expecting again."

The outlet's source says, "Jennifer couldn't be happier about being pregnant" with her longtime boyfriend Casper Smart's baby, and he's "over the moon, too, and hoping for a son." Life & Style's insider reveals Smart is "really treating her like a queen. Anything she wants or craves, he gets it for her — sometimes even before she asks." Lopez and Smart were actually "discussing adoption" until Lopez became pregnant with the "miracle baby," shares the source, who adds the couple is now also "ready to settle down."

Life & Style's story, however, is wrong on several accounts. For starters, Gossip Cop exclusively debunked the claim Lopez and Smart were adopting when the tabloid falsely alleged it in May. More importantly now, Lopez is not pregnant. Gossip Cop is assured by a mutual friend of ours and Lopez's that the latest assertion is simply "false."

Taylor Swift will take legal action to ensure no member of her girl squad ever says anything negative about her in public? That's what the National Enquirer is reporting. According to the publication, Swift wants to "protect her image" after Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Calvin Harris slammed her, and is looking to prevent her friends from ever doing the same.

A source reveals to the magazine, "Taylor had lawyers draw up a contract she's pushing friends to sign. It stipulates they can't say anything negative about her publicly, or they’ll be fined $25,000 for each offense" and "forced to make a public apology for maligning her." The outlet’s insider notes, "Everyone’s balking, especially Taylor’s high-powered friends like Selena Gomez."

Despite how absurd this story sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Swift, who laughed off the tabloid's tale before assuring us it's simply "not true." We're not entirely surprised it's false since Gossip Cop recently busted the Enquirer for wrongly alleging Swift kicked Gomez out of her squad, as well as for seemingly manufacturing a claim that Tom Hiddleston is trying to get Swift pregnant.

Katy Perry took the "high road," reports OK!, and sent her boyfriend Orlando Bloom's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, an expensive "statement-making gift upon learning of her engagement to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel." A source tells the magazine, Perry gave Kerr "a $13,000 rose quartz crystal sphere," which the model "loved" because she's into crystal healing.

The outlet further reveals that the gift "worked" because Perry "got Miranda's stamp of approval right away." After noting how well Kerr, Bloom, Perry and Spiegel get along, the publication ends its article by editorializing, "Can't wait for group vacations!"

Gossip Cop is going to go out on a limb, but based on the recent vacation in Sardinia, Italy, during which Bloom was photographed nude, there's a good chance Spiegel may have little interest in taking a "group" vacation with his fiancee's ex-husband and his girlfriend. In any event, Gossip Cop looked into the engagement present claim, and we're exclusively told by a source close to the situation that while all parties are amicable, the crystal gift "didn’t happen."
