Slide 1 of 11

We celebrate the enigmatic actor's career as 'The Lone Ranger' gallops into theatersBy Sean Axmaker Special to MSN MoviesIs Johnny Depp a star despite or because of his idiosyncrasies? He became a pop icon with TV series "21 Jump Street" and an actor to be reckoned with when he made the jump to the big screen with a succession of vividly realized, often wildly eccentric screen characters in the kinds of films that garner great reviews and small audiences.
