'The Bourne Ultimatum' Stills

Slide 1 of 23

47) 'The Bourne Ultimatum' (Release date: Aug. 3, 2007)Or, "Jason Takes Manhattan." Just kidding! But really, this third entry in the franchise about a guilt-ridden and formerly amnesiac CIA assassin is just as much of a killing machine as its protagonist. Finally, soulful but ruthlessly efficient operative Jason Bourne makes it back to the States, back to the cutest girls in the world. Oh, sorry, back to confront the evil intelligence overlords who took away his real identity in the first place. This time with the help of a reasonably cute girl (Julia Stiles, who, having sleepwalked through the first two pictures in the franchise, looking as if she'd lost a bet or something, finally finds a sense of purpose here) and up against a steely but attractive female agency bigwig (Joan Allen). Great action set pieces are served up without too many overt insults to one's intelligence. Although director Paul Greengrass' you-are-there "shaky cam" still gets up some filmgoers' noses. How much did the movie gross at the box office?"The Bourne Ultimatum" went on to win the second-highest number of Oscars at the 2008 Academy Awards, right behind this crime thriller. What is it?(Universal Pictures)
