Union J become three after George Shelley hospitalised

6/18/2014

British boyband Union J became a trio for a gig in Britain on Sunday night (08Jun14) after George Shelley was hospitalised to treat a nasty foot injury. The pop star was injured after stepping on glass while travelling back from Los Angeles and he had a number of stitches in his foot. He was back in hospital on Sunday (08Jun14) after his stitches ripped, and was in too much pain to perform with the band at a music festival in Derbyshire, England. Shelley wrote in a post on his Twitter.com page, "While we were in LA, I stepped on glass at the airport and have ended up having to have stitches along the bottom of my foot... Last night they started bleeding quite a lot so I'm having to go back to the hospital today to get them looked at! I will keep you updated and promise I will make it up to you!" His bandmate JJ Hamblett later assured fans the four-piece group would perform without Shelley, adding, "Guys as Queen said 'The Show Must Go On' Unfortunately George is unwell and we wish him a speedy recovery. But the 3 of us will be there."
