Warner Bros. Names Drew Crevello Senior VP of Production

By Jeff Sneider

Warner Bros. Pictures has named Drew Crevello senior VP of production, it was announced Friday by Greg Silverman, WB's president of creative development and worldwide production.

Joining the studio's senior motion picture production team, Crevello will oversee a range of films each year, through every stage of development and production, working closely with directors, writers and producers, as well as production entities with which Warner Bros. partners on its releases.

"Drew has a long history of developing and guiding character-driven films of every genre, which makes him a great fit for our team," said Silverman. "He's strategic, exceptionally bright and knows firsthand the challenges and rewards of the creative process. We couldn't be more excited that Drew is bringing all of his talents and skills to Warner Bros."

Crevello previously served as VP of production at 20th Century Fox, where he helped re-launch the X-Men franchise with "X-Men: First Class" and oversaw "Knight and Day" with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, among other films.

Prior to that, Crevello ran his own production company, which had a first-look deal at Mandate, where he had also served as VP of production. Crevello was earlier a creative executive at Universal Pictures, where he worked on such films as "Friday Night Lights" and "Jarhead." Crevello began his career as a mergers and acquisitions attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York. He has been a full-time writer for the past two years.
