With paparazzi in tow, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles make debut at the zoo

The stampeding sound that visitors heard at the Central Park Zoo on Sunday wasn't a family of elephants making a break for it. It was the frenzy caused by Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, who turned out to be the most interesting mammals on display at the animal Mecca as they made their public debut as a couple. Twitter exploded with sightings of the confessional chart-topper's daytime meet-up with the One Direction teen idol, who was in town for a weekend performance at Madison Square Garden. "Holy crap!" seemed to be the most popular tweeted response from those who caught a glimpse of their combined star power. But it wasn't exactly a romantic outing. Taylor, 22, and Harry, 18, kept the PDA to a bare minimum, and they were joined by 1D's stylist, Lou Teasdale, her fiancé, Tom, and their infant daughter, Lux (yes, Lux). Also along for the rendezvous: hordes of paparazzi, with most of the major agencies on hand to document the lanky lovebirds, who were decked out in matching skinny jeans. "Harry and Taylor were walking next to each other," a source tells E! News. "They seemed happy to be together, talking and smiling. Taylor seemed to be in a great mood." At one point, Swift was snapped with Lux on her lap and Harry by her side as they watched a sea lion frolic (side note: Taylor's excited reaction to the pinnipeds was not unlike her signature open-mouthed facial expression when she wins an award).Swift, who jetted into Manhattan fresh from a performance in Los Angeles on Saturday, was first linked with Harry last month, not long after she called it quits with far less famous 18-year-old Conor Kennedy.
