Working for laughs

Slide 1 of 11

In honor of 'The Internship,' 10 of our favorite workplace comediesBy James RocchiSpecial to MSN MoviesIt's a fact of life: You have to work. But a few things make working for a living tolerable: the pay; the chance to steal office supplies; the occasional opportunity to feel a little better than the co-worker whose cubicle has too many cat photos; and, finally, if you're very lucky, the chance to laugh a little bit while you're there. Hollywood recognizes this, which is ironic -- the last people who'd know what it's like to have a regular and steady 9-to-5 gig are writers, directors and actors. In "The Internship," Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn play fired salespeople who try to change their professional fortunes by interning at Google, allowing for both comedy and a few shots at the differences between the old-school realities of handshakes and connections versus the new, always-on high-tech workplace of today. With that in mind, here are a few other classic workplace comedies -- which, tellingly, make more than a few sharp pieces of social commentary through broad jokes.Bing: More about 'The Internship' | Watch the trailerWhat's your go-to movie for comic relief from the working world?
