Baby Giraffe at California Zoo Wears Leg Brace to Correct Disorder
This adorable giraffe is on the mend. Staff at the San Diego Zoo fit 3-month-old Msituni with custom orthotic braces to correct limb abnormalities she was born with. The company that made the brace makes orthotics and prosthetics for humans. “So the hyperextension, the joint going the wrong way, was the big concern with her,” veterinarian Matt Kenney said. Without treatment, her chances of survival were low. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.
