Coast Guard Rescues Boaters After Lightning Strikes Their Vessel in Florida

Coast guards rescued Florida boaters after their ship was struck by lightning during a fishing tournament. They were a hundred miles from Clearwater, Florida, when lightning completely fried the boat's electronics. The lightning also hit one of the boaters, rendering him unconscious for five minutes. Thanks to an emergency position indicating a radio beacon, the coast guard found the stricken vessel an hour from shore and took everyone to safety.
