Multiple Trees Downed on I-26 Near Orangeburg as Storms Sweep South Carolina

High winds brought multiple trees crashing onto Interstate 26 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, on April 19, as storms moved through the state. The interstate was closed to allow authorities to clear the way, local media reported. Footage shared by the South Carolina Highway Patrol shows trees lying across eastbound lanes on I-26, and a semi-trailer driver helping out by using his vehicle to crush the branches into smaller pieces.
