London's Happiest Place To Live 2022

Richmond upon Thames has been named London’s happiest place to live for the eighth consecutive year. The riverside are in south-west London is famous for its deer-filled green spaces such as Richmond Park and Kew Gardens. Other popular features of the borough include the many riverside pubs and the famous Twickenham Stadium. It has long been one of London’s most desirable places to live, topping Rightmove’s annual Happy at Home Index for the past eight years. Past and present residents include Mick Jagger, Angelina Jolie, Tom Hardy and Sir David Attenborough. The study measures the impact of factors such as a sense of belonging, access to green spaces and strong community. The top spot across Great Britain this year is Cornwall’s St Ives, followed by Galashiels in Scotland and Woodbridge in Suffolk
