2000 AI experts signed a letter demanding to pause training of AI systems because of potential threats to humanity. UC Berkeley Prof. Stuart Russell says, "I asked Microsoft, 'Does this system now have internal goals of its own that it's pursuing?' And they said, 'We haven't the faintest idea.'"
