19-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Alleged GoFundMe Cancer Scam
College student Madison Russo documented her cancer "treatment" in a series of heartbreaking social media posts. She claimed to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, leukemia and a tumor on her spine the size of a football. Russo also raised over $37,000 on her GoFundMe page. But Iowa police arrested the 19-year-old, calling it all an elaborate scam. The alleged scam was first spotted by doctors who wondered about an image that supposedly showed her receiving chemotherapy.
