Dog Arrives by Elevator for Walkies With Neighbor After Owner's COVID Diagnosis

A Polish woman unexpectedly became a dog walker for a stranger living in her building in Gdansk, after the pet owner in question was forced to quarantine after contracting COVID-19. In footage by Dorota Taubwurcel, 12-year-old Labrador Dora can be seen emerging from an elevator to be received by her new dog walker. “Her owner is ill with COVID-19 and thus cannot leave the flat,” Taubwurcel told Storyful. “I don’t know the neighbour, only her name as she contacted me via Facebook and I didn’t know what dog to expect,” she added. “Dora came prepared with a poopy bag and now comes with a snack bag also, as she knows all her commands but only reacts to them when given her treats,” Taubwurcel said.
