Florida Restaurant Worker Alerts Police to Alleged Child Abuse With Secret Sign
A restaurant manager is being hailed as a hero for spotting what she said were signs of child abuse. Flaviane Carvalho says a family ordered food at the Mrs. Potato in Orlando, Florida but did not have a meal for the 11-year-old customer. She noticed a bruise on the boy and created a sign that said "Do you need help?" and held it up from an angle that his parents could not see. When the boy nodded yes, Carvalho called 9-1-1 and the parents were later arrested. Inside Edition Digital has more.
