Jack Cakebread, pioneering Napa Valley winemaker, dies age 92
Jack Cakebread was an auto mechanic before he and his wife bought a farm with the vision to help put Napa Valley on the world map of wine. Cakebread’s family-owned wine company became one of the most popular of Napa’s 400-plus wineries, selling over 100,000 cases a year. Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist remembers a life well lived.
