No Running Through Poppy Fields in California This Year
An impressive bloom of poppies, the California state flower, has emerged along the I-15 corridor. It’s a beautiful sight, and if you can stand the allergies, could make for gorgeous Instagram pictures. But officials warn: Citizens should only observe the crop when passing by inside their cars. To protect the delicate flowers and maintain order, authorities have shut down the Walker Canyon area to visitors, adding additional patrols to enforce their decision.
