Oscar Pistorius Denied Parole by South African Board
Any hope Oscar Pistorius had for an early release from prison has been dashed. The South African athlete and convicted killer was denied early parole, according to officials who say that he has not completed half of his sentence for his crime. Pistorius has been in prison since 2016 for shooting and killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, 29, on Valentine’s Day 2013. He claimed he thought he was shooting a burglar through a door in his home. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
