Overboard Cruise Passenger Survives 15 Hours in Water
A 28-year-old Carnival cruise passenger fell overboard for 15 hours in the Gulf of Mexico. Whitney Gaines was on the ship and says the missing passenger's family was desperately looking for him. As the cruise ship turned and retraced its path looking for the man, a U.S. Coast Guard search team spotted him about 20 miles off the coast of Louisiana. He was waving desperately and struggled to keep his head above water. The man was hauled aboard a helicopter and taken to a hospital.
