Tel Aviv 'vaccination bar' gives out free drinks and COVID jabs
At this Tel Aviv bar you get a free beer AND a COVID-19 jab. By re-purposing Jenia bar municipal authorities are hoping to arouse interest among the young for the coronavirus vaccine. Israel has administered the most vaccine doses per capita in the world, but some, especially younger people, remain skeptical. To convince them, the government has introduced a green badge scheme. The vaccine passport gives privileges to anyone who has had the COVID jab. However critics say it strong-arms people into getting vaccinated, and leads to the exclusion of those who are reluctant or unable to do so.
