The Talk - Texas Elementary School Shooting; Natalie Morales 'nothing changes'
Wednesday, "The Talk" hosts discuss the heart-breaking tragedy in Uvalde, Texas with yesterday's horrific school shooting at Robb Elementary, where 19 children and 2 teachers were senselessly shot and killed. "More children are killed by guns now, used to be car accidents. More children are losing their lives to guns," says Natalie Morales. Akbar Gbajabiamila reflects, "This crazy cycle that we're going through in America is just so sick. We talk about it, forget about it. Talk about it, forget about it. We have to do something." We have to, as a country, come together and do something. We've used our voices to make a lot of changes in this country, but we've not made any improvement -- and when I hear, since 2018 there's been 119 something shootings, I mean, can you imagine?" Morales relates this tragedy in Texas to the Sandy Hook and Colombine elementary school shootings. "Nothing changes, but these communities are forever changed. Hearing some of the Sandy Hook parents now offering their hearts and helping these new parents be part of this new club that nobody chooses to be a part of, nothing changes."
