Woman Whose Friend Claims She’s Being Abused Insists Her Boyfriend Never Beat, Kicked, Or Punched Her
Heather’s best friend, Jennifer, claims that Heather is in an abusive relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Collin, and says she fears the only way Heather will leave him is “in a body bag.” “He tells me that if he ever caught me cheating that he would kill me and that other person,” says Heather, admitting that Collin has ripped her clothing and bit her face. Still, Heather says she doesn’t think of the way Collin treats her as abuse. “When I think of abusive – I think of somebody who beats on you, and Collin has never beat me, kicked me or punched me.” When Dr. Phil asks, “Are you afraid for your safety?” how does Heather respond? And later, Collin admits to putting his hands on Heather in the past, but claims she pushed him into it. What does he say she does to get him “riled up?” Part one of this two-part Dr. Phil, “Toxic Love,” airs Tuesday. Check your local listing to find out where to watch.
