Teen regains eyesight after rare diagnosis

Ethan Ralston was 14 years old when he realized that he was losing vision in both of his eyes. “I had a very small portion on the right side in my right eye that I could see. And then in my left eye, there was only the peripheral edges that I could see out of,” Ralston said. He was diagnosed with LHON, a degenerative eye disease which can cause blindness. Thanks to a genetic trial, Ralston is getting a second chance at sight. InsideEdition.com’s Stephanie Officer explains how it worked.
