Children Rescued from Crumbling Building

Rescuers pulled a boy and a girl from the rubble of a building in southern Turkey into the light of a cold, snowy day. The death toll is in the thousands after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Turkey and Syria before sunrise on Monday. Powerful aftershocks added to the misery. But in all of this devastation, there are some signs of life. The rescued children were examined by paramedics, and miraculously showed no signs of physical injuries.
