Los Angeles area hit by rare tornado
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles confirms that a tornado touched down Wednesday. Tornadoes are rare in California, with fewer than 10 per year on average, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. CNN's Derek Van Dam has the severe weather forecast.
