New York Subway Braces for Potential Flooding During Nor'easter

After Hurricane Ida ravaged the Northeast, heavy rains returned to New York and New Jersey just eight weeks later. For homeowner Marlon Valle, that’s unwelcome news — Ida caused his basement to flood and an entire wall to explode, pouring water into the house. In Brooklyn, a driver and biker attempted to drive through a flood. And subway officials have clearly learned lessons from Ida. Hundreds of workers have moved special pumps and emergency generators into position in advance of the storm.
