Peru’s President Ousted After Saying He Will Seize Power
Peru is going through some things. It started when president Pedro Castillo addressed the nation saying he would dissolve the country’s congress ahead of a potential vote to remove him from office. It would reportedly be the third time congress took a vote to oust him since he was elected in July 2021. Reports say he is being investigated by his own government for corruption.
