Roe v. Wade Overturned by Supreme Court, Sending Abortion Decision Back to States
Anti-abortion activists rejoiced outside the Supreme Court as the landmark Roe v. Wade decision of 1973 was overturned. Five conservative justices agreed to overturn a lower court’s ruling that blocked Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban, which was filed by the state’s last remaining abortion clinic. The three liberal justices dissented. Justice John Roberts concurred with the majority, but wrote that Roe and Casey should have remained untouched. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
