Vehicles Attempt to Navigate Flooded Highway in Fannett, Texas

Cars and semi-trailers attempted to drive through extensive flooding brought by Tropical Depression Imelda on Interstate 10 in Fannett, Texas, on Thursday, September 19. The National Weather Service estimated Tropical Depression Imelda could bring anywhere between 30 to 40 inches of rain to many areas in eastern Texas, including Jefferson County, through Friday. Roads and neighborhoods in the nearby town of Beaumont, Texas, were submerged by extensive flooding on Thursday.
