Hostel In Thailand Offers Visitors A Night Behind Bars

The Sook Station, Bangkok’s first prison-themed hostel, opened its door earlier this summer and is already attracting many guests, who want a taste of being an inmate. The hostel is comprised of nine rooms designed just like jail cells, two of which even recreate solitary confinement for more adventurous guests. At check-in, guests have their mugshots taken, are given pin-striped pyjamas, and assigned an inmate number to go in and out their “cells.” To keep in line with the theme, there is also a lights out curfew. The hostel charges between 790-1,630 baht ($24-$50) per night.
