A Wet, Snowy And Cold Weekend Is Ahead In Metro Detroit

METRO DETROIT, MI — Heads up, Metro Detroiters: Enjoy this mid-week 40-degree weather because this weekend brings a bout of winter.

While the chance of rain begins Wednesday, we will still be seeing some warmer temperatures throughout the week. By Friday night, expect a messy mix of snow and rain lasting throughout the weekend. By the time we kick of the week with MLK Day, the highs will only be in the 20s. Brrr.

Wednesday

A chance of rain after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 42. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday Night

A chance of rain before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 12 to 17 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
