Chicago Photographer Ice Skates on 'Buttery Smooth' Frozen Pier

A photographer in Chicago could not resist putting on his ice skates on February 4, after waves freezing over the pier at a local beach turned it into a “buttery smooth” rink. Video by Craig Shimala shows him skating up and down the pier under a bright blue winter sky.
