Coldest temperature ever recorded in each US state

The coldest temperature ever to be officially recorded in the U.S. was -80 °F in Alaska on Jan. 23, 1971, and was observed at Prospect Creek Camp in the Endicott Mountains. Hawaii is the only state to not have recorded a below-zero temperature. Here is a look at the coldest temperatures recorded in each of the 50 American states.
