Rain moves in for the weekend in the Mid-South, possible winter weather on the horizon
Happy Saturday
- Not a lot of change in the forecast between Friday and Saturday during the day.
- Rain and thundershowers move in Saturday evening, however, and remain overnight into Sunday.
- Strong winds will be picking up from the south as this moisture moves in.
- Severe weather is not expected at this time.
- Next up, is the chance for ice.
- Timing is still iffy and accumulation will not be determined until the coming days.
- Confidence has continued to grow that we will likely see Freezing rain and/or sleet along and North of 40.
- Impacts to travel will be something to monitor since rain will likely not allow much pretreatment.
