STERLING, VA—Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast begins with a hazardous outlook issued by the National Weather Service for Friday night (chance of thunderstorms and high winds) but moves past that into lots of sun amid brisk temperatures. Friday night could feature "scattered thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds," but such conditions will abate as the evening progresses. Saturday, meanwhile, will offer mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 50s amid sporadic wind gusts. Saturday night's lows should be around freezing.
