Staten Island Chuck predicted an early spring this year — but the weather gods are not being kind.

The city will be hit with yet another snowstorm Wednesday, and temperatures will hover around freezing.

The National Weather Service is projecting one to two inches of snow for Wednesday, with flurries kicking off at around 3 p.m. and continuing through 8 p.m., when the storm will turn into a wintry mix.

“Temperatures on Wednesday evening will be right around 33 or so, just above freezing,” said NWS meteorologist Carlie Buccola. “They’ll stay that way on Thursday night as well.”

Airlines were already issuing travel advisories Tuesday afternoon as a result of the weather. Delta Airlines and American Airlines advised customers travelling through New York City’s three major airports to check their flight statuses for delays and cancellations.

The weather is not expected to turn spring-like over the next few days.

The NWS does expect a slight bump in temperatures on Friday with a projected high of 45. The agency is also expecting highs in the low 50s come Sunday.
