Recovery Efforts Continue After Kremenchuk Mall Strike as Death Toll Rises
Drone footage shows recovery crews searching through the rubble of the damaged shopping mall in the central Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk on Wednesday, June 29. The number killed by the Russian strike had risen to at least 20 civilians, according to the latest update from the Ukrainian President’s Office. Video by Sergio Olmos shows the extent of the damage with crews seen clearing rubble. In an address, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said, “we have all the evidence of what the Russian military is doing against our people.” Zelensky posted CCTV footage of the missile strike alongside his address. The Ukrainian President said the missile in the footage was one of 2,811 fired at Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24. Credit: Sergio Olmos via Storyful
