BEACH CITY, Texas – One hundred homes have been evacuated in Beach City, east of Houston, after lightning struck crude oil tankers at a plant, triggering a fire, CBS affiliate KHOU reports.

The Chambers County Sheriff's Office says homes within a half mile radius of the fire were evacuated as a precaution. Officials later halted evacuations, KHOU reports.
