Several flights have been cancelled due to winter weather impacting the area Wednesday.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Dulles International Airport and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport all tweeted that some airlines have cancelled flights and many are waiving change fees for rebooking travel Wednesday. Some of the airlines waiving change fees are United, Southwest, Delta and American.

Travelers are being advised to check their flight status before going to the airport.

BWI tweeted that they have snow melters positioned the airfield in order to help remove some of the snow. Roughly 270 pieces of equipment will help during the winter weather Wednesday.
