NATIONAL SUMMARY

A dry and mostly sunny day is on tap for much of the eastern

United States tomorrow ahead of an approaching cold front. A

few afternoon showers and thunderstorms will bubble to life

along a stalled front draped across the Florida Peninsula. A

cold front will stretch from the Great Lakes, down to the

southern Plains and up into the northern Rockies. Cold air

will continue to filter in behind this front, with

below-average temperatures for many areas across the

north-central United States. Showers will form along this

front from the Great Lakes to the middle Mississippi Valley.

A series of fronts will bring adverse weather to the

Northwestern states. Rain will fall across portions of

Washington and Idaho, while snow targets much of Montana.
