Timelapse Captures La Palma Volcano Erupting During Sunset
More than 200 buildings were destroyed and 6,000 people evacuated by September 21 amid the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma, Spain, Telecinco reported. The first eruption was reported at around 3:30 pm local time September 19 and sent smoke and lava spewing out of several fissures. This timelapse video, taken by Valean Claudiu Marius from Tazacorte, shows the volcano erupting on September 19 as the moon rose above the mountains behind it.
