The first days of workweek will bring scattered showers Monday into Tuesday with a nice cool down arriving mid-week. Monday's max temps will rise into the seasonal zone topping out in the mid 80s.

For the final Monday of September, Mother Nature delivers a little sun, and a handful of showers and that action continues into Tuesday. Then, our wind and weather pattern shift late Tuesday allowing dry, cool air to settle into the area. By Wednesday morning, it's sweater-weather, with temps in the 50s. Afternoon highs will hold in the 70s. On Thursday, we make a glance at 80 degrees before a dry front swings through giving us a reinforcing shot of cooler air.

Expect a parade of sunshine for the first few days of October. Friday through Sunday highs will hold in the mid 70s with lows in the mid to upper 50s.

For now, the tropics are quiet!
