Starting Feb. 21, 2016, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas, U.S., is holding an exhibition to showcase 14 cars and three motorcycles, sporting shiny curves and clean lines from the Art Deco period. Titled Sculpted in Steel: Art Deco Automobiles and Motorcycles, 1929–1940, the exhibition celebrates cars and motorcycles designed during the classic era of automobile design when art and elegance ruled over the industry. The Art Deco design, which had emerged in the early 1910s in France, was fully embraced in the 1920s — leading to aircraft-inspired body styles. The exhibition will run through May 30, 2016. Here is a look at the highlights from the exhibition.
