Bonang Matheba dishes out on being lambasted on a regular basis and says that while it hurts, silence is the best key.

According to TshisaLIVE, the South African personality appeared on Six Heroes to My Name on SABC 1 where she opened up about being criticised.

"They said 'Bonang is too ratchet. Bonang is too loud.' It hurt a lot," Bonang was quoted as saying.

She continued: "On social media you get immediate feedback. At the end of the day I'm human. I'm Cancerian and Cancerian's are the most sensitive in the zodiac".

Despite this, Bonang says that the best solution to handle critics is silence.

"There were moments when I cried. You read something, you see something and you cry. I've been called every name under the sun but there is a power in silence."

"Silence wins the war and I've mastered the art of online reputation management."
