SA economy contracts by 0.6 percent in third quarter

Stats SA released the third-quarter GDP figures on Tuesday.
Agriculture, mining, manufacturing and transport sectors all declined.

According to Stats SA, mining was one of the biggest drags on growth in Q3:2019, down by 6,1%, driven largely by a fall in the production of platinum group metals, coal and iron ore.
