SAA board walks out of Parliament, fails to deliver turnaround strategy

JOHANNESBURG – South African Airways (SAA) CEO Vuyani Jarana and the airline's board have walked out of Parliament, refusing to deliver a scheduled presentation.

Jarana was meant to present a turnaround strategy for the airline on Wednesday.

The SAA delegation wanted a closed meeting, but MPs objected, citing a lack of transparency.

Closed meetings in Parliament are unusual.
