JOHANNESBURG - SACP General Secretary Blade Nzimande says mass action must complement judicial intervention to win the fight against state capture.

He was speaking at the party's imbizo on governance in Johannesburg.

Responding to Nzimande's speech, ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe has admitted the movement is going through a difficult period.

Mantashe says radical economic transformation should be used to effectively deal with race, class and gender and not simply to save face.

The phrase has been used by several cabinet ministers after President Zuma outlined government's vision for change in his 2017 State of the Nation Address.

SACP leaders have been vocal in criticising Zuma’s leadership and his ties with the Gupta family.
