Cristiano Ronaldo has great memories of Carlo Ancelotti. "He was an incredible person. At first I thought he was cold and arrogant, but he turned out to be quite the opposite. He's like a big teddy bear, a great guy. He spoke with all the players, every day. I'd like all players to have the chance to work under him because he's a fantastic coach. I miss him a lot and would like to work under him again. Right now I'm fine with my new coach. But it's great to have good memories" he told ESPN in an interview.

On the subject of Benítez, 'CR' said he felt "comfortable" with him and said that every coach must have "his own style". "I feel comfortable, I play with freedom and I feel good. Most of the time I play in my own position, so there's no problem. I try to keep the best things that each coach gives me. Not only Ferguson, but also Pellegrini, Mourinho, Ancelotti, now Benítez and also the national team coaches. I am the player I am because all the coaches I have had have helped me" he added.

Admits a drop in form, but refuses to reveal why

Cristiano Ronaldo admits he has had some difficult moments in this early stage of the season. "It's not just a personal question, but also on a physical level. I'm not using it as an excuse. I'm not an extra-terrestrial, I also have difficult times, but that's over. Right now I feel better and better. "

The Real Madrid player thinks that these dips in form are normal in any player's career. "We all have our ups and downs. Now, what I want is to keep improving with each game, on a personal level, and help the team to have a good season" he said.

"I'm not ever going to tell anyone what I've been through. That stays with me, but what I can say is that I've had a few problems in this early part of the season. Now I'm a lot better and you can see that out on the pitch" he finished off saying.

The former Manchester United player is not ruling out winning the 2015 Ballon d'Or, despite his dip in form and the fact that he has not won any titles. "I think I've had a good season on a personal level, probably my best. I'm fine, but Neymar and Messi are also in a very strong position. They won the Champions League and I think that will make it more difficult for me. I'm pleased to be nominated, and may the best man win."

Crítical of the club's project

On another subject, Cristiano was critical of the club's signings policy. "I don’t like the way the club buys and sells players every year. I think the squad needs time to work and grow together and it takes time to get to know the coach. This is the only way to improve individually and collectively" the Portuguese player concluded.
