“In a week’s time the league will be over, there will no longer be anything at stake and we can assess any issue. Whatever happens in my home on my day off belongs in my private life,” Celta trainer Luis Enrique said in reference to his recent meeting with Zubizarreta.

Real Madrid: “It’s an inspiring game, because of the rival and because it’s the 90th anniversary of the club. Tomorrow is an important day for Celtismo. The game, the anniversary party and the safety from relegation.”

Safety: "Managing to stay up, mathematically, has been liberating”

The goalkeeper against Madrid: "Tomorrow Sergio will be in goal".

The fans: "They’ve always supported us and now it’s time for us to enjoy it.”

Welliton: "I know Welliton and he’s a good lad, but the facts speak for themselves. He has to think long and hard.”

La Liga: "I’d like Barça to win the league, I’ve always said it, but you also have to give Atlético Madrid credit because they’ve had a unique and spectacular campaign, and have been a surprise from the start.”

Celta: “We’re not playing for anything but we’ve already shown that we’re a dangerous team in a great stadium. Staying up has been so liberating. We’re going to try and beat Real Madrid, who still have a chance of winning the league.”

Abelardo: “He’s a person with in-depth knoweldge of football because he’s been in important teams and knows the level that the profession demands. I’ll be one more Sporting fan, supporting him and hoping he reaches the promotion places and manages to gain promotion. I think he’s going to add a lot to Sporting. I hope they’re patient with him and give him time because the results will come for sure. “Pitu” deserves the chance.”
