Gerard Piqué looked at Barça's 2-1 win over Sevilla. It was a hard-fought victory, especially as Unai Emery's team took the lead: "They are very good on the break. They got up a couple of times and managed to score against us, turning things around against a team like they are is really hard, but we did a great job today" the defender told Movistar+. "We've suffered a lot in recent games but we've overcome the difficulties, that's the only way the league titles are won."

The central defender played down the importance of the 34-game unbeaten run, which equals the record held by Real Madrid since the 1988-89 season: "Records are all well and good, but they don't actually serve for very much. It all comes down to trophies won. We need to finish the job, and we are in sight of doing that." As well as that, he avoided the opportunity to make a jibe at the eternal enemy, despite the crisis that has opened up at the Blanco club after their derby defeat at the hands of Atlético on Saturday: "We just have to focus on what we're doing. Things are going really well for us, but Real Madrid are not our only rivals" he said, leaving it at that.

"I'd bet my arm that Neymar would never go to Madrid"

After the game, he attended to the fans on the Periscope app and replied to their questions. Asked about the possibility of Neymar ending up at Real Madrid, he ventured to say: "I would bet an arm or a hand that he will never go to Madrid." At the same time, he ruled out moving to Manchester City to play under Pep Guardiola in the near future: "My love for Manchester United is too big to allow me to sign for City."
